About this holiday

Easter Sunday is the Christian celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It falls on the Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox, so the date shifts each year between late March and late April. Customs include sunrise services, family meals, egg hunts and decorated baskets.
